Re: McCrackens in Attleboro, MA
Hello Matt!
Wonderful to hear from you!
John & Bridget's son, John, married Mary Ellen Keane and they had Margaret Dorothy in 1901, who was my maternal grandmother. She moved to NY and bore my mother out of wedlock in 1943 and kept it secret from the family until her death. So it hasn't been easy finding stuff out. Thank you so much already for the info on John & Bridget. I was really stumped.
My mother got in touch with Eleanor (McCracken) Maceil in the early 1990's, and she and I are sporadically in touch. We met Margaret's brother Henry in 1991 and he was already well into his 90's and very spry. So we have hopes for the longevity.
You can contact me at my email address PennyPumpkin@verizon.net. I live in NY and would be happy to share all that I have found so far, if it will be of any help to you.
Thanks again!
Mary Kate Pendergast
