My name is Patricia Davis Rutledge. My grandfather, William Irvin Davis, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, May 1874 and died in Maryland in 1952. He married Elva Magruder Davis in 1916 and had one son, my father William Elmer Davis in 1921 who died in 1963. My grandmother refused to tell my father anything about my grandfathers people and to this day have been unable to connect.
