The FamilyTreeDNA Project is wonderful. I have three of my lines in this project testing a direct male from each line. It cost $99 each test and you can also transfer your info to Geographic Project and see the migration of your line over thousands of years. My experiences. Test sample 1 - I have been linked up to people I can help with the info I have. Test Sample 2 - I was at a dead end where this family came from. I found two excellent historians of this family name who are going overboard helping me find the link I need who are in the surname project I had tested. Test 3 - I have used this test to illiminate lines are not mine. In every case this project is well worth the trouble. YOu have to find a male descesndent of the line to test.
